What is Wotian Hermetic Seal?
Definition: A glass sintered hermetic seal is a connection device that achieves a gas-tight seal through chemical bonding between glass and metal. This connector utilizes high-temperature sintering technology to form a robust bond between the glass and metal, providing excellent mechanical strength, high-temperature resistance, and superior electrical insulation performance.
Purpose: Due to their unique properties, glass sintered hermetic seals are widely used in applications requiring high gas tightness and thermal stability, such as vacuum environments, low-temperature conditions, high-pressure systems, and applications subjected to high mechanical or thermal stresses. They are particularly suitable for electronic instruments, aerospace, military equipment, sensors, and other fields with stringent requirements for sealing and reliability. Additionally, these connectors are commonly found in modules and components that maintain internal vacuum or are filled with inert gases to ensure stable electrical performance. Therefore, if your project falls within these applications, Wotian hermetic connectors are an ideal choice.
Hermetic Seals Classified by Function

The battery pack is a critical component of lithium-ion batteries, widely used in smart meters (for water, electricity, and gas), computer power supplies, medical devices, and scientific research instruments.

The TO header primarily includes the TO8 series, TO39 series, TO46 series, and TO56 series, along with their corresponding tube caps and upper covers. It is widely used in various fields such as industry, agriculture, precision measurement and detection, communications and information processing, medical applications, and military applications.

These sealed terminal products feature a snap-fit connection for rapid insertion and disassembly. The pins can be processed into rounded (sharp) shapes, flattened surfaces, or welded cups, and are customizable according to customer specifications. They find extensive applications in measurement equipment, power systems, marine engineering, defense industries, and electronic instrumentation.

The sealing joint is one of the key components of pressure sensors, available in differential pressure and gauge pressure types. These products are widely used in industrial measurement and control systems, pressure calibration instruments, aerospace applications, high-speed rail systems, automotive electronics, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, medical instruments, flow measurement, and aerodynamic measurement applications.

The compressor terminal is a sealed wiring assembly that runs through the compressor housing, designed to introduce external power to the compressor’s internal motor (e.g., stator windings), while preventing refrigerant leakage and shielding the internal electrical system from external environmental factors such as moisture, dust, and vibration.

This multi-pin terminal strip series consists of high-density, lightweight, and miniaturized rectangular electrical connectors, primarily designed to ensure reliable electrical connections between internal system cables and printed circuit boards. It is particularly suitable for applications requiring limited installation space and minimal weight.
Advantages of Wotian Hermetic Seals

Shell Material Selection
The hermetic seal product casing is commonly manufactured from SUS304 or SUS316L stainless steel, with customizable options including titanium alloy, tantalum, and Hastelloy C. All supplied casing materials comply with ASTM or GB/T stainless steel standards. Our advanced machining lathes significantly enhance processing efficiency, ensuring timely completion of production tasks with guaranteed quality and on schedule.

Selection of Glass Sintered Materials
Hermetic seal glass sealing materials are customizable: 13# glass powder and DM308 glass powder, both offering excellent insulation properties. Among these, 13# glass powder is highly recommended due to its distinct thermal expansion coefficient, superior stability and reliability, enhanced mechanical strength, and superior heat resistance, making it ideal for demanding application environments. It enables the production of sealing connectors with superior performance.
Custom Materials and Shapes of The Pin for Your Hermetic Seal
The hermetic seal allows customization of pin material:
The pins are customizable: available in Kovar alloy grades 4J29,4J28, and 4J50; electroplated coatings such as gold, silver, nickel, copper, or tin can also be applied. The number and arrangement of pins can be customized according to specific requirements, with designs tailored to individual needs.
Different pin materials, electroplated coatings, as well as varying numbers and arrangements of pins, can accommodate your diverse operational requirements.

Leading Hermetic Seals Manufacturer in China

Wotian has introduced advanced high-pressure CNC technology and chain sintering furnaces.
The facility is equipped with 16 CNC lathes for processing and cutting stainless steel strips; a fully automatic drilling machine featuring 21 different sizes of drill bits; and a fully automatic milling machine with a precision of up to 0.01 mm, capable of milling U-shaped grooves and square grooves.
The chain-type sintering furnace features nine temperature zones, each with a fixed temperature curve. Nitrogen gas enters the furnace to release oxygen, providing a sealed protective barrier against leakage. The sintering temperature exceeds 1000°C.
With these devices, Wotian’s production line can manufacture higher-quality hermetic seals, achieving an annual production capacity of 100 units.
Inspection Equipment
This device can be used to inspect both the thickness and fullness of our hermetic seal glass, enabling precise measurement of the glass’s height difference through projection.
The airtightness performance of the hermetic seal can be tested using this equipment. Helium gas testing accurately determines whether the seal meets your specified requirements, and we will provide a test report accordingly.

Definition of Glass Sintered Hermetic Seal
Insulation resistance refers to the resistance value exhibited by the insulating part of a material or device under a specified voltage. For a sintered base, the insulation resistance denotes the resistance between the base and other conductive components, typically measured using a megohmmeter.
Voltage resistance refers to the maximum voltage value that a material or device can withstand without experiencing breakdown or other electrical faults. For sintered bases, voltage resistance testing ensures their maintenance of excellent insulation performance under high-voltage conditions, thereby preventing electrical failures.
Airtightness refers to the ability of a material or device to prevent gas penetration. For sintered bases, airtightness testing primarily evaluates their sealing performance to ensure that internal components are not damaged or their performance is not compromised due to gas leakage in the operating environment.
Pressure resistance refers to the ability of a material or device to maintain structural integrity and normal functionality under external pressure. For sintered bases, pressure resistance testing ensures that they do not rupture or deform under compressive loads, thereby guaranteeing long-term stable operation.
Working temperature refers to the temperature range that a material or device can withstand under normal operating conditions. For sintered bases, the working temperature determines their suitability under various environmental conditions.
